Super Mario Party Decorations
I wanted to stick with the classic Nintendo theme for Austin's birthday party, so bright colors are where its at! I started with a DIY balloon garland. These custom DIY Balloon garlands are perfect for every party theme! Pick your own colors to coordinate with you Mario party perfectly!
From there, I adorned the wall with a Jumbo Super Mario Balloon and a huge galaxy of these cute star balloons! Use a sticker or sharpie to draw eyes on two sizes of gold star balloons to create your own DIY Super Stars. Check out the mini star balloons here and the regular sized star balloons here!
Super Mario Tableware
Setting the table is my favorite part of birthday party decor! I started with a faux grass table runner. These grass table runners are my favorite reusable party decor! On top of that, I added a checkered table runner!
Layer the table with complimentary color tableware. I chose green dinner plates, red dessert plates and blue napkins. These checkered napkins really tie the race car theme together! Shop all of our party tableware here!
I DIY'd the centerpiece out of these simple flower pots from the dollar store, lollipops and a number 5 cake topper.
Super Mario Party Food
I ordered these adorable Super Mario cookies from a local baker, Purple Heather Bakeshop.
Kid's love snacks, so we kept it simple at Austin's 5th birthday. I filled these red paper cups with veggie sticks & dip, and these cute popcorn boxes with popcorn.
I made simple cupcakes myself, and added these adorable red & glittery piranha cupcake toppers!
The Superstar rice krispy treats were definitely the easiest party hack - I bought one of these jumbo rice krispy squares and used a cookie cutter to cute them out! Easy!
I bought a simple birthday cake and added a custom cake topper, as well as this stunning cake stand.
Extras
These stunning photos are by Amazing Day Photography.
These jumbo mushroom honeycomb decorations are perfect to DIY into a cute Nintendo mushroom decoration! They were a total show stopper and really tied the theme together! Just use these mushroom shaped paper honeycomb decorations and glue some round paper circles on them.
The sky was adorned with these cute hanging cloud decorations.
I also created these cute Mario party hats with a simple pack of party hats and some DIY pintable's. I use canva to create most of my DIY printables!
Mario Party Activities
Austin wanted Mario Kart live for his birthday party, so the main entertainment for his Nintendo party was playing Mario Kart live with his friends! This game is SO fun. The kids absolutely loved playing Mario Kart with a live, in person circuit! Definitely check out this amazing Nintendo game if you're looking for a special gift that works as a birthday party activity too!
I also created a DIY Pin the Moustache on Mario game with Canva.
