Super Mario birthday party ideas!

Backdrop

When I throw a birthday party, I always like to start with the party backdrop.  Your backdrop will be the main focus of the party, so it makes sense to start here!  I started off with this super easy DIY rainbow balloon garland! DIY Balloon garlands are a great way to make your party look high end, but on a budget! From there, add a jumbo Mario balloon (of course!).  You can even DIY these cute mini star balloons to look like cute star characters from Mario! We love an easy DIY!
I also found this amazing star party curtain to add to your Mario Party Backdrop!

Set the Table

Grab this adorable checkered table runner and layer it on top of a white paper table cloth! These paper table cloths are eco friendly, and thicker then the traditional plastic table cloth.  Check them out here!

From there grab your dinner plates & dessert plates! I chose these bright red plates by Oh Happy Day and these adorable cloud shaped plates! You can also work these checkered paper plates into your Mario birthday party for serving or decoration!

I chose these blue paper cups for drinking, as well as these fun racing flag straws!

Mario Birthday Cake

We have tons toppers for your Mario birthday cake! I chose these rainbow flame candles - a major crowd pleaser, as well as this fun star sparkler! Check out our huge collection of cake toppers and candles to find exactly what you're looking for!

Treat Bags

I grabbed these cute rainbow treat bags by Meri Meri for our Mario party! The bright colors coordinate with our Mario party theme perfectly.  Fill them with fun items suchs gel pens, surprise balls, squishies and more!

Extras

Grab a fun glitter banner to add to your Mario birthday decor.  We love this "Level 5 Unlocked" gamer banner on etsy!

Every birthday kiddo likes to feel special on their day, so I always like to include a jumbo number balloon like this one in gold!

We also made this cute DIY Toadstool decoration! It is SO simple, all you need is a honeycomb mushroom, white paper and tape or glue dots. Simply cut out some white circles & glue them on your red toadstool!
